Managing Your Subscription, Billing & Credits
You can manage your subscription, billing cycle, and credits directly from your Subscription & Billing section inside your profile.
Here is everything you need to know.
How to Pause Your Subscription
You can pause your subscription at any time.
- Go to your profile and open “Subscription & Billing.”

- Select “Manage Plan”

- Select “Pause or cancel subscription.”

Each pause lasts for one full billing cycle (e.g. one month). After that, your subscription will automatically resume.
Can You Still Use PublishFlow While Paused?
Yes, but with limitations.
You will still have access to your account and content. However, AI features will not be available during the pause. You can only use manual editing.
Which Tools Can Still Be Used While Paused?
Even while your subscription is paused, you still have access to several features.
You can:
- Edit all of your existing books manually
- Use the Book Optimizer
- Do market research and explore ideas with the Niche & Positioning Tool
- Export all of your manuscripts
AI generation features remain unavailable until your subscription is active again.
How Often Can You Pause?
Each pause lasts for one billing cycle. After a pause, you must complete at least one full active billing cycle before pausing again. You can repeat this process as often as needed.
What Happens to Your Credits During a Pause?
Credits are frozen while your subscription is paused.
This means:
- You cannot use Book Credits or Visual Credits
- Any purchased credits remain frozen
- Credits do not expire
Once you reactivate your subscription, all credits become available again.
Can You Use Extra Book Credits While Paused?
No.
Even if you purchased additional Book Credits, they cannot be used during a pause. They are reactivated once your subscription becomes active again.
Which Actions in Visuals Require Credits?
In general, every generation, edit, or refinement inside the Visuals Tool uses credits.
This includes:
- Generating covers or variations
- Creating back covers
- Generating A+ Content
- Using Magic Studio for edits
There is also a credit table inside the Visuals Tool that shows the cost per action, so you can always see the exact credit cost before you confirm any action. Just hover over the question mark icon next to your “remaining credits.”
Do Discounts Apply to Credits?
No.
Discounts only apply to your subscription plan. Credits are not discounted.
Will You Lose Your Discount If You Pause?
No.
Your discount remains active even if you pause your subscription.
Is the Founder Discount Still Available?
No.
The Founder Discount is no longer active.

If you've scheduled your subscription for cancellation but would like to continue using PublishFlow, simply:
- Go to your Profile.
- Open Manage Subscription.
- Select Keep Subscription Renewing.
This will cancel the scheduled cancellation and your subscription will continue renewing on its normal billing date.

I Scheduled My Subscription for Cancellation but Would Like to Pause Instead
If you've already scheduled your subscription for cancellation but would prefer to pause it instead, you'll first need to reactivate your subscription:
- Go to your Profile.
- Open Manage Subscription.
- Select Keep Subscription Renewing.
Once the cancellation has been removed:
- Open Manage Subscription again.
- Select Pause Subscription.
Your subscription will then be paused for one billing cycle according to the standard pause policy.
