Here is everything you need to know about the Visuals Tool.

To create a cover, click on “+ New Visual” in the Visuals dashboard. From there, you can choose between different visual types to create and enhance your book assets.

Cover Generation: Generate a brand new cover from scratch. You can also upload references or let AI design variations for you.
A+ Content: Upload an existing cover and generate marketing visuals. These are optimized for ads and product pages.
Back Cover & Wraparound: Upload a front cover and generate a matching back cover. You can also create a full wraparound design.

There are different ways to approach cover creation. Start by exploring styles and generating multiple variations. This helps you find a direction that fits your book. Once you find a design you like, you can refine it using the Magic Studio. There, you can reposition text, add stickers, adjust styles, and fine-tune the details.

If you notice that PublishFlow is consistently starting or ending your chapters with the exact same format, such as beginning every chapter with "In the last chapter, we covered X. Now, let's explore Y.", you might be wondering how to stop it.

Naturally, PublishFlow’s AI is trained to write dynamically and avoid repetitive phrasing. When the AI uses highly repetitive structures, it is almost always because it is strictly following a directive within your Book Requirement Document (BRD).

While it can be frustrating to see the same pattern repeat, the good news is that this is a quick and easy fix! Here is how to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Check your BRD for overly broad instructions

The AI takes your instructions very literally. Sometimes, an instruction written with the intention of creating a good reading experience is interpreted by the AI as a strict structural template to be used in every single chapter.

To check your settings, open the BRD Creator. From there, you will land on the Outline tab. Be sure to check this tab, as well as the Writing Instructions and Style & Tone tabs.

Look for instructions that the AI might be misinterpreting. Here are a few examples of well-meaning instructions that can cause repetitive patterns:

The writing process has two phases:

Chapter by chapter: You write and fact-check each chapter, one at a time.
The whole book: Once all chapters are written, you refine the complete book with Developmental Editing and finish it with Proofreading.

It allows you to create highly customized, abstract, and complex book concepts that simply wouldn't fit into a standard chapter-and-subchapter outline. Using writing instructions ensures that the AI writer interprets your outline exactly the way you want it to during the writing phase. Think of the writing instructions as a detailed briefing that you hand over to a professional ghostwriter so they understand your vision 100% correctly.

How Writing Instructions work with your Outline

You can describe to the AI exactly how you envision the structure of the text. However, it is important to understand how these instructions interact with your actual Outline:

Content vs. Structure: The Writing Instructions dictate the content and the flow, but the Outline tab dictates the structure.
Deleting unwanted structure: If your instructions tell the AI to write a continuous list of facts with no subchapters, the AI will write the facts—but if you left subchapters in your Outline tab, those subheadings will still appear in the text! If you don't want subheadings, make sure to actually delete them from your Outline.
