How to Work Effectively with Our AI Assistants

Co-working with AI

Every major tool inside PublishFlow features an AI Assistant Chat that is always open on the right side of your screen. It is there to answer your questions and do heavy-lifting tasks for you.

What does the chat do?

You can communicate with the AI Assistant at any time. There are three main things it can do to help you write your book:

  • Answer your questions: You can ask it to rate your title, description, BRD, or chapter, and let it tell you how to optimize it even further. You can talk to it just like any other chatbot (like ChatGPT or similar).
  • Recommend changes: It can recommend specific changes to your text. You can read its recommendations first, give it feedback, and it will generate new recommendations based on what you said. You can do this back-and-forth until you completely like the suggestions.
  • Implement the changes: If you want it to apply its recommendations, simply tell it to do so. It will go ahead and rewrite your title, description, BRD, or chapter based on your feedback. Note on implementing: You always stay in control. To apply the rewrite, you must click the Implement changes button. Inside the Description and Writing tools, the new changes will even be highlighted directly in your text so you can see exactly what was altered.

What does it know?

Our AI Assistant is very intelligent. It has access to nearly all the information about your book. If you are writing Chapter 5 and you want to refer to something from Chapter 1, you can simply tell it, and it will find the information for you.

Big tasks and unlimited usage

The AI Assistant can do really big tasks if you want it to. You can tell it to change the word count in every chapter of the outline, or that you want one more subchapter added to each chapter of the outline. If you want something changed, just tell the Assistant, and it will do its best to implement your request.

Because your PublishFlow plan gives you unlimited AI usage within your book projects, you never have to worry about wasting credits. If a task gets too big for the system to process at once, you might get an error or the Assistant might stop responding. If that happens, you don't lose anything—just try to break the task down into two or three smaller tasks and ask again.

Special skills

The AI Assistant inside our Writing Tool has two special skills that are exclusive to that step of the process:

  1. Fact-checking
  2. Proofreading

These two skills can only be used inside the Writing Tool. You can use them by clicking on their specific buttons inside the tool, or you can just tell the Assistant in the chat to fact-check or proofread. It will understand your request and perform the exact skill you asked for.
