Create a Back Cover with Visuals by PublishFlow
Once you’ve created your final book cover, the next step is to design a matching back cover. The Back Cover Tool helps you generate professional layouts and marketing copy that fit your front cover perfectly.
Here is how to create your back cover step by step.
How to Start Creating a Back Cover
Go to the “Finalized” section in the Cover Tool.
Select the cover you want to use and click on “Create Back Cover.”
1. Choose Your Back Cover Style
Select one of the following styles:
- Benefit Boxes
- Editorial
- Topic Teaser
- Bold Minimal
Select Print Specifications
Choose:
- Interior type
- Paper type
Optional: Add Notes
You can include extra instructions for:
- Layout
- Mood
- Text direction
Then generate your back cover.
2. Create and Review Your Copy
In this step, you can review and edit the AI-generated marketing copy before generating visuals.
Depending on your selected style:
- Benefit Boxes
- Heading
- Body copy
- Benefit boxes
- Signature
- Editorial
- Title
- Body paragraphs
- About the author
- Author name
- Topic Teaser
- Intro hook
- Topic bullets
- Closing CTA
- Bold Minimal
- Tagline
- Subtitle (optional)
Make adjustments where needed before moving forward.
3. Finalize or Edit Your Variants
You will now see multiple back cover variations.
You can:
- Finalize the version you prefer
- Open it in Magic Studio for further refinement
Inside Magic Studio, you can:
- Fix or adjust text
- Remove the barcode box
- Apply custom edits using your own instructions
4. Assemble the Full Cover
Once you are satisfied, move on to assembling your full cover.
This creates your wraparound design:
- Front cover
- Spine
- Back cover
Adjust Spine Settings
Enter your page count to automatically set the correct spine width.
You can also:
- Change spine color
- Edit spine text
- Adjust font, size, and color
- Hide or flip spine text
Enable trim lines and guides to preview your final layout.
5. Export Your Full Cover
Your wraparound cover is now ready.
Export it as a print-ready PDF, fully aligned with KDP requirements.
With your cover complete, you’re ready to move on to A+ Content creation and elevate your marketing.
